Hey everyone!! Hope you are having a great Friday! Time is just slipping away from me 🙂 Christmas is less than two weeks away!! We have been doing some house remodeling, which I am excited to share with you! But, today I want to show you my Christmas mantel is case you are still looking for ideas.
A few days days ago I showed you a sneak peak of my mantel with the Pottery Barn giant ornament hack. Today I am going to show you around the whole mantel!
If you have been following along here at all you might remember that I mentioned that I actually have 2 mantels in my house! This house has had multiple additions over it’s some 60ish year existence. Along with those additions came 2 mantels and the removal another fireplace. Let’s just say this house has got some character. If you want to see how I decorated my other mantel for Christmas this year head over here.
For this mantel I went with a more traditional red/green/wintery theme. My inspiration came from here.
I love how real this garland looks!! I got one of these last year from Joann’s. I loved it so much that I went back this year and got another one. These wood stars are one of my favorites and are also a DIY. I will put up a tutorial for those soon!
This gold filler is another Joann’s find. I love the texture that comes from the vase filler. This vase has been seen a few different times in our house and it came from Home Good’s a couple of years ago.
I love the after season sales. Most of these items were purchased in years past at the end of season sales.
To add height to the other side of the mantel I used a candle holder with a gold dipped candle. I also used one of my apothecary jars to fill with some left over ornaments that I had.
Thanks for stopping by today!!
Do you decorate for Christmas using traditional colors or non-traditional colors?
