I would love a craft room……. all to myself…..It would be filled with amazing storage and pretty cabinets……
It would always be clean and ready for me to create and craft my next amazing projects.
It would be the place where I would find my inspiration and inspire others…..
Sigh……
I mentioned over here that we have been doing a little bit of furniture rearranging.
I had craft supplies in boxes. I had craft stuff shoved into the closet and under the bed.Since my craft room is no longer I needed to get creative…..and organized….
pppphhhheeewww……But, it was worth it!!I picked up some baskets and containers from various places on the web to help with the organization process.
I will probably work on the book shelves a little bit more by making some labels and possibly adding a couple small drawers. From hammers to fabric these craft shelves literally store it all!
As I sit here and write this I am at the kitchen table, no one else is awake yet. It’s just me. I gaze at a bag of chips left out from last nights sacking episode and I realized that I am ok without a craft room……
For now……
I guess part of my point is that you do not have to have a large area to keep your craft supplies. All you need is a designated area with great storage bins and baskets!!
I am in love with it, what do you think!! I would love to chat in the comment section below!!
I don't have a designated craft room either, and I love how you created a space for all your supplies. The hardest part for me is having all my stuff in different areas of the house/garage and not remembering where I put something when I need it. I definitely need to get organized!
it looks wonderful….I sooo need to strt working on our craft room!!! PINNING
Turned out great lady!! Love all the baskets!!
We are currently in a 2 bedroom townhome while we are looking for a house and I feel like I have no space. I love what you've done with the space! Where did you get those wire baskets on the bottom shelves? LOVE them!
I just love your storage – SO pretty! I love having all of my supplies organized and this definitely makes me swoon. It's too bad you lost your crafting space, but you are doing a very good and kind-hearted thing by taking care of your father-in-law! 🙂
They’re so pretty! Classic, clean lines with just the right amount of character in the storage… love it! sharing!
Thanks so much!! It really has been so nice to have quick access to all of my craft supplies. I seriously use this area every day. It has been a life saver!! Have a great week!!
I love your style. Small spaces can look cluttered but you have organized everything in such a way it looks so clean an neat. The colors are fresh and beautiful.
Thank you Louann!! It is definitely a challenge to keep everything looking tidy sometimes. I have a lot of craft supplies and as you can see only two bookshelves to hold it all. It really has helped to have a designated spot for everything so that I can quickly put things away. Thanks for stopping by!
This is AMAZING!! I tried to find these book shelves on Target but I am not sure I found the right ones…. what is the name of the specific make/model you purchased? Thanks!
Thank you Christina! These have been a life saver!! These shelves are the Threshold Carson model. Here is the link http://www.target.com/p/threshold-carson-5-shelf-bookcase/-/A-14550115?lnk=rec|pdp|viewed_bought|pdph1
Hi! Love what you did with the shelves! I hope you can help me. I would love to get the same shelves, but would like to know if they are a bright white or more of an off white (like Ikea white)? My fireplace is slightly off white, and a slight off white would look amazing next to it.
Thanks so much!
Alita 🙂
Thanks Alita! These shelves are awesome, I love how organized my craft stuff is! I just held up a piece of white printer paper to the shelves and they are almost as white as the paper. They are slightly off white, but pretty much white. Hope this helps!
All my crafting stuff is in our dining room (plus the wardrobe!) but since we moved last April it’s not well organised, no proper furniture to store things etc so this is a real inspiration for me, I’d love to get something like this going in there! Great motivation to keep it tidy too – I was thinking to go for cupboards so I can close the doors on the mess, but this way I’d have to try harder not to make mess!
This was my exact problem!! I really like the idea of using cupboards too, a great way to close the door on the mess. Thanks for stopping by Julie!
My craft supplies are allll over the place. I need to corral them in some way! I love how you organized your shelving; so functional but it looks pretty, too! Thanks for sharing at Merry Monday this week; I needed this kind of inspiration!
Thanks Emily! Even though I have these shelves my craft supplies are still all over the place….haha. But, I do have to say that I was a little skeptical that two bookshelves would be able to do the trick for a craft space, so to say. They have worked out really well. Thanks for stopping by!
This looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Sarah! It has been really nice to have a place for my craft stuff, even if I can’t have an entire room right now.
Looks great, I love to see how other bloggers worth with small living spaces! I love how you used a variety of different looking storage bins to keep it visually pleasing. I’m setting my craft supplies up in a similar way, but on a cube style bookcase in a closet.
Thanks Jesica! It can be a little bit tricky not having a designated craft room to craft, but this has been working out surprisingly well. I wanted it to look good and be functional. I love the different bins and baskets too! Thanks for stopping by!
I love your style and colors (white!!!) What a beautiful craft storage idea. It’s functional and pretty, too!
I would love for you to join us at share each week at Brag About It link party on VMG206 (Mondays at Midnight).
~ Megin of VMG206
Thanks Megin! It really has worked out better than I thought. Not having a craft room can get tricky but these shelves have really worked for me. I will definitely check out your party, thanks!
WOW! You have done an amazing job of blending your craft items in discreetly ! What a well organized and visually appealing space you’ve created! Well done! I hope you have a great weekend!
Smiles!
Terry
Thanks Terry! I was forced to give up my craft room so I had to make due with what I had… the kitchen table just wasn’t cutting it anymore, lol. I am really pleased with how it has been working out. Thanks for stopping by Terry.
All of my crafting supplies are shoved into the “closet of doom”. Maybe I need to bring it out into the light to force me to get more organized. I am sure it won’t be as beautiful as this though. Thanks for sharing on the #HomeMattersParty . I hope you will join us again next week.
Thanks Audrey! That is exactly how my craft supplies were until I got these shelves. My father in law ended up moving in with us so I could no longer use the spare room for craft storage. It really has made me keep things more organized. Thanks for stopping by!
Love the colours and love how you organised it all. My kids would pull it all apart because they’re 2.5 and 15 months… but I’m taking so much inspiration from what you’ve done and think I’ll be doing something similar for my craft things. My craft “room” is a table in my garage and right now it’s so cold I can’t do anything in there… Thanks for sharing this post with us at The Creative Corner Link Up! Hope to see you join us again tonight at 6pm PST time! 🙂 I’ll be featuring your post this week at The Creative Corner and sharing it across my social media! 🙂 Maria. x
Thanks Maria! I used to just use boxes in a closet, it was always a mess. I still don’t have a designated crafting area but at least I have a place to store my craft stuff. I put stuff on the bottom shelves like fabric and ribbon, things that if my 2.5 year old got into it wouldn’t be too big of a deal. Over time she learned that she wasn’t supposed to play with the stuff on the shelves. Thanks so much for stopping by and thanks for the feature!!
Love the space! What color paint is on the wall behind the book case?
Thanks Heather! The paint is called Creamy Mushroom by Behr. It is a really good grey-beige.
I love the idea of an exposed craft area. I really like the way you styled it!

I have been struggling for my bedroom storage and you gave me some brilliant ideas thanks for the inspiration.
